An ancient evil has awoken, indeed; he goes by the name Master Chief and he's taking Xbox LIVE by force. Launching on November 6, Halo 4 — which saw the return of Master Chief — earned more than $220 million in the first 24 hours alone. But how addicting has it been in terms of time spent playing?
343 Industries has already revealed that more people played Halo 4 in the first 24 hours than any other Halo launch day in history as it became the most played Xbox LIVE title for the week of November 5, 2012. It beat out Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 and Minecraft: Xbox 360 Edition.
Today, 343 Industries revealed even more juicy numbers and fun facts about the first five days of Halo 4. To start off, they pointed out that over four million people played Halo 4 on Xbox LIVE in the first five days. Below are some other fun facts.
"We couldn’t have achieved any of the above numbers without you," 343 community manager Jessica Shea concluded, "so from all of us at 343, thanks for playing."
