Infamous: First Light standalone expansion to release on disc after digital

Sony will be bringing Infamous: Second Son’s first expansion, Infamous: First Light, to disc September 10, a few weeks after its digital release.

A tweet from PlayStation Europe confirms that the hard copies will only retail in Europe, but both versions will be priced at $14.99. As previously reported, the Americas will have access to the digital version August 26 (Europe August 27), and importing a disc copy remains an option for avid collectors.

First Light is a standalone expansion revolving around Fetch, a prominent side character in Second Son, and her return to Curdun Cay. A copy of Infamous: Second Son, while not required to play First Light, will unlock additional content therein.

Sucker Punch has stated that they will consider more add-on content if First Light proves popular with fans. That the game’s first expansion has found enough of a foothold to secure a spot in retail bodes well for the prospect.
