An iOS app was recently released for Injustice: Gods Among Us. Players are able to unlock content such as hero card items for the console versions of the game through the mobile title.
Unfortunately for Wii U owners, it seems that the app isn't compatible with that version of the game. So if you purchased Injustice on Nintendo's console, you probably shouldn't even bother checking out the official app.
Ultimately, NetherRealm's DC fighter is an incredible game in its own right and doesn't even need an app to be great. So in reality, while it would certainly be cool to get some little extras, I think their omission on the Wii U isn't too hard of a hit.
