Invites to Bloodborne’s Alpha Test are being sent out

Apparently, invites to join the "exclusive" Bloodborne Alpha Test on PlayStation 4 are being sent out. Though no official announcement has been made by Sony, several PlayStation owners have posted pictures of the invitation they've received.

"You skill and dedication have been recognised; you have been selected to join the exclusive Bloodborne Alpha Test!" the invitation reads. According to the invite, this is a "small-scale test" that's being conducted in order to gather community feedback and data to improve Bloodborne's online experience.

As an Alpha Test, it goes without saying that this is not final version of the game. Sony warns that you may experience bugs and other incomplete features "that do not represent the final product of the game."

Bloodborne is set to release in "early 2015" exclusively on PlayStation 4. Although we're still awaiting the U.S. date, Sony previously confirmed that Bloodborne will be released in Japan on February 5, 2015.
