Nintendo has uploaded a new screenshot presumably from the opening cinematic screen of the new Super Smash Bros. showing what looks like Mario proposing to Princess Peach.
We're not completely sold on the notion, however, as series director Masahiro Sakurai teased "Who is the ring for?" on Miiverse. And if you look closely, you'll notice the ring is on the wrong finger of Peach's left hand, assuming the Mushroom Kingdom follows similar marital traditions as those of us in the real world.
I suppose this has been a long time coming. The two have danced around marriage for far too long and I think it's time for Mario to finally put a ring on it.
