Nintendo of Europe recently made a tweet about good things coming to those who wait, showing an image of Mario Kart 64 and using #MK8:

Now skeptics might say that Nintendo of Europe tweets random stuff all the time, and that it's probably not indicative of anything. However, it is strange they used the Mario Kart 8 hashtag, and that several branches of Nintendo, including France, Italy, and Spain all shared the same tweet. While they often do post the same things, those universally shared things are often business related:

Quien esperar puede, alcanza lo que quiere. #MK8 pic.twitter.com/5VXcVaHBvP

Obviously there's nothing confirming this as fact, but as it stands, fans have taken the tweets as a tease and are showing their support for the idea of Mario Kart 8 DLC. Since the Wii U is done and Nintendo is going to be coasting along on the dead system well into 2017, perhaps DLC can provide a much needed source of income for the Big N?
