Amazon (yes THAT Amazon) is getting ready to throw their hats into the arena of Game Design, and it looks like they are almost ready to share what they have been working on. The company recently created social media accounts on Facebook, Twitter, and Twitch under the name Breakaway, and began posting as recently as yesterday.
There isn't much to go on, other than the fact that the imagery, and a few quotes that were posted as status updates, clearly point to a game based on Norse Mythology. The first status update included the quote, "Tell Valhalla that I shall arrive soon." If that doesn't scream Norse, I don't know what does.
Breakaway's Twitch channel is also currently live, with a video of a small conference room and a countdown timer pointing to a reveal nine days from now in conjunction with TwitchCon 2016. Amazon has also created a listing on Event Brite for the "Amazon Game Studios Unboxing & Afterparty" due to take place on Thursday, September 29th.
