It’s okay guys, Konami can’t steal your P.T. demo.

When news broke that Konami was axing the anticipated Silent Hills game, fans were frustrated and eBay listings for Playstation 4 units with the P.T. demo for the game bloated to over $1000. The game was to be a collaboration between veteran developer, Kojima (Metal Gear Solid, Castlevania) and dark fantasy writer and director, Guillermo del Toro (Pan’s Labyrinth, Pacific Rim) and was set to star Norman Reedus of The Walking Dead fame.

There are several fan petitions circling the internet tubes right now attempting to get the project underway again, but a fresh crop of panic came when a recent rumor started about Konami’s supposed intention to remove existing P.T. demos from people’s systems. Konami insists that this is incorrect and that there is not a system in place to allow either Konami or Sony to remove assets from your home console.

The loss of what was potentially one of the best horror games of the last 10 years is a blow to fans, but Konami’s tinkering with removing Kojima’s name from the upcoming artwork for Metal Gear Solid still feels dirty.
