Naughty Dog's Jak and Daxter franchise is about to go portable. It's been a little over a year since the beloved franchise — one of the best PS2 platformers — received an HD remake on the PS3, but now Sony is bringing the Jak and Daxter Collection to its PlayStation Vita handheld system.
The collection is comprised of three Jak and Daxter adventures — Jak and Daxter: The Precursor Legacy, Jak II, and Jak 3 — and will retail for $29.99. It's not just an HD remake, though. Some of the mini games throughout the collection will take advantage of the Vita's touch-based functionality. It will also have full Trophy support on the Vita. Assuming it's identical to the PS3 version, the collection will include over 100 trophies spread across the three games.
When Jak and Daxter Collection released on PS3, we scored it an amazing 9/10. Reviewer Mike Splechta wrote, "If you're a younger gamer who unfortunately never got to experience the greatness that is the Jak and Daxter series, this is a great way to play one of the PS2's best platformers." Look out for the Jak and Daxter Collection on Vita this June.
