Jak II, Jak 3, and Jak X: Combat Racing hitting PS4 next week

Just in time for Christmas, PlayStation fans will be able to complete their PS4 collection of the Jak and Daxter series, as it was announced that Jak II, Jak 3, and Jak X: Combat Racing would release digitally on PS4 next week on December 6th. The first game in the series, Jak and Daxter: The Precursor Legacy released on PS4 back in August, but if you didn't grab the game, you will now be able to buy each one individually at $14.99. There is also an option to purchase Jak II, 3, and Combat Racing as a bundle for $39.99 if you so choose.

Jak and Daxter is one of the PS2's most treasured franchises and served as something of a midpoint between developer Naughty Dog's early days on Crash Bandicoot and their more narratively-focused present with Uncharted and The Last of Us. The studio used the second game in the series, Jak II, to establish a more serious tone and gave the protagonist the ability to speak. This served as a springboard for narrative experimentation, leading to a lot of the masterpiece quality work we see from them today.

Suffice it to say; if you're looking for a piece of gaming history, you'll find it with the Jak and Daxter games.
