Jane Jensen’s Kickstarter meets $300k goal, second game announced

The Kickstarter campaign for Jane Jensen's next game, Moebius, reached its final $300,000 marker this weekend with eleven days to spare.

Fans chose the paranormal thriller Moebius as Pinkerton Road Studio's first effort. On Friday, Jensen announced that the team would be developing a second adventure game using outside funding. Backers who pledge $50 or more will receive Moebius and the new, unknown game.

The $50 tier now includes incentives such as e-book versions of two out-of-print Gabriel Knight novels. A contribution of $200+ comes with Jensen's "design bibles," which were used in the making of the game series. A $500 donation will net you a unique Gabriel Knight: Sins of the Fathers production sketch, signed by Jensen and former Sierra artist John Shroades.

A dedicated fan named LauraKat will host a live, 24-hour play-through of the Gabriel Knight trilogy, starting 19:00 GMT (that's 3 PM EST) on Friday, May 11. Fellow fans can watch on Twitch.tv and stay tuned for a question-and-answer session with Pinkerton Road founders Jane Jensen and Robert Holmes on Sunday, May 13 at the same time.
