With the PlayStation 4 on its way, it's time to say goodbye to the past. As of June 1, 2013, GameStop will no longer accept PlayStation 2 consoles as trade-in, so if you are looking to make a quick buck to put towards your PS4, you may want to round up all of your games and accessories quickly as you have less than a month. A Redditor snapped a picture of the poster and a number of stores and employees at various GameStop locations have confirmed the trade-in deadline.
Sony stopped production of the PlayStation 2 earlier this year. In its 12 year lifespan, the PS2 sold 150 million units worldwide and currently boasts a library of more than 10,000 games as of 2011.
