June’s free PS Plus games for Europe announced

The EU PlayStation Blog has revealed next month's free games for PlayStation Plus members. With June being the 4th anniversary of PlayStation Plus, Sony is looking for ways to better the service. So starting in June, PS Plus members will now have access to two titles per month for each PlayStation platforms. That means, Sony will now be offering two free PS4 games.

Additionally, Sony has also decided to adjust the length of time each title will be available. Starting in July, every title in the Instant Game Collection will be available the first Wednesday of the month, and will be free for that month, until the first Wednesday of the following month. Keep in mind, the Wednesday release applies to Europe. U.S. will still get our games on Tuesday.

"In the coming weeks, you’ll see that several of the titles that have had a nice, long stint in the Instant Game Collection will be phased out, so if you’re new to the service and haven’t had a chance to download all of the titles available through PS Plus — or if you’ve been thinking about subscribing but haven’t yet — now is the perfect time to get all the great games available with PS Plus," said SCEE PS Sotre and Plus Content Manager, Chris Howe.

And now, on to your free games for June:

PlayStation 4 (PS4)

Pixeljunk Shooter Ultimate: A twin stick shooter that involves blasting things, exploration and puzzle-solving. Pixeljunk Shooter Ultimate combines the campaigns of Shooter 1 and 2 into a single package with new feature and optimizations.

Trine 2: The Complete Story: Another game that offers mysterious puzzles, Trine 2 lets your imagination run wild in a beautiful fairy-tale land, with danger lurking at every turn. Trine 2: The Complete Story offers co-op multiplayer for up to three players.

PlayStation 3 (PS3)

NBA 2K14: Sure, the NBA season is winding down. It's only a matter of time until the Heat claim their third championship. But this should hold you over until the start of next season, or at least until the release of NBA 2K15.

Lone Survivor Director's Cut: Playing as a masked protagonist, you must escape from a city ravaged by disease. How you go about doing so is completely up to you, as the game encourages choice and decision making. Do you search for other survivors or try to escape the city alone? Do you sneak through or do you kill everything in your path?

PS Vita

Dragon's Crown: Set in a fantastical medieval world, your mission is to dive into the dank underworld, uncovering treasure and strengthening your mettle as you unlock the secret behind the ancient dragon that threatens the world. Dragon's Crown is packed iwth labryinthine dungeons to explore, vile monstrosities to smite, and nearly endless online adventure.

Surge Deluxe: This is a block matching puzzle game that encourages speed. The Deluxe version expands upon the original release, offering a new Combiner block for higher multiplayers in strategic play and a new Chain Linker block for longer chain connections.
