Just Dance 3 sells 7 million units – franchise sells 25 million

An announcement form Ubisoft today announced that Just Dance 3 has sold over 7 million units since the release.  This make over 25 million units sold over all for the Just Dance franchise sold worldwide.  Their stats show that the average player spends 23 minutes playing JD3 a day worldwide and that is 7.5 million songs every day.

That’s a lot of dancers.  Like a LOT of dancers.  These stats stretch across for both the Xbox 360’s Kinect and PlayStation 3’s Move.  The entire franchise includes the three Just Dance games, extra songs, and Just Dance Kids.  Ubisoft also has released ABBA You Can Dance, The Black Eyed Peas Experience, The Michael Jackson Experience, and the Smurfs Dance Party.

Chief EMEA sales and marketing officer for Ubisoft said, “The Just Dance franchise continues to be first choice for customers around the world looking for games that let them dance and get the party started in their living rooms.  Our diverse dance game offerings ensure that everyone can find an accessible and enjoyable title regardless of platform, and that we have a broad base upon which to bring new ideas and titles in the years to come."

So Ubisoft really just wants you to get out there and dance, join the millions already doing so.
