Karateka hits PC today along with a development e-book

Now players can beat each other up martial arts-style in Karateka on Steam for PC.

Prince of Persia creator Jordan Mechner recently remade his first hit game, which released on Xbox Live Arcade last month. It's available for Steam today at 10 percent off its regular $10 price — a deal that will only last a week.

Karateka is still "coming soon" for PlayStation Network and iOS devices.

Mechner also released an e-book today called Karateka: Journals 1982-1985, which documents the development process of the original Apple 2 game. It's available in Kindle, ePub, and PDF formats and is coming soon as a paperback.

He also previously wrote a book about making Prince of Persia.
