When you're a kid, all you want to do is sit at home and play video games or watch TV. Sadly, there's only so much time in the day and most people have to spend their time at school, at work, or sleeping. One young kid found a workaround, however, or at least attempted to.
A user on Reddit posted a "note from school" that her son, Nathan, brought home. The note says that her son is required to stay up late at night so he can play video games for "video game class". If he doesn't do his video game homework, he'll get kicked out of school! Sadly, his attempt was foiled when his mother carefully examined the letter and noticed it was forged.
"I held it up and asked 'what's this about' and he couldn't hide his devious smirk!" Lori, Nathan's mother, said in an interview with Mashable. "I emailed his teacher the picture of the note, and he had shown it to her as well."
"My friend's T-shirt had something like the note, and I wanted to copy it and change some things," said Nathan when asked where the idea came from.
Nathan was also asked what games he so desperately wants to stay up and play. "I like to play Minecraft, racing games, Mario games, Solar Two (a Steam game), Kerbal Space Program, and I think that's about it. Sometimes when (mom's friends) come over, they let me play Pokemon GO on their phones."
Nathan's letter didn't work as planned, but he did earn an additional 30 minutes of game time that night. Did you ever pull anything like this on your parents when you were younger? Let us know in the comments below!
