Kill la Kill joining Toonami’s reduced schedule in February

Toonami has announced that they'll be cutting down their scheduled programming down to 3.5 hours, but not all is lost. While the scheduling is shorter, it will retain it's heavy hitting shows with high ratings, and also welcoming a newcomer, Kill la Kill.

Kill la Kill revolves around a young girl, Ryuko, who comes across a special outfit that gives her unnatural super powers, on a quest to find her father's killer.

Here is Crunchyroll's official description:

After 6 years since their collaboration on the ground breaking anime series, ‘Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann,’ Hiroyuki Imaishi and Kazuki Nakashima are back to shock the world! Ryuko Matoi is a vagrant school girl traveling from place to place searching for clues to the truth behind her father’s death—the ‘woman with the scissor blade.’ The journey has led Ryuko to Honnouji Academy

Those that haven't yet seen Kill la Kill are in for a fantastic treat. It's completely mental, almost unnaturally so, where each and every episode is high octane from start to finish.

Kill la Kill will start airing on Toonami's new shortened block starting February 7th at 12:30AM.
