According to developer Mangagamer, their game Kindred Spirits on the Roof will be sold completely uncensored on Steam featuring the ghosts of two school girls exploring a sexual relationship. In an announcement, the developer stated that "We have some exciting news to share tonight: we’ve been given approval to publish Kindred Spirits on the Roof on Steam without any cuts or censorship! Let’s make Steam a Yuritopia in 2016!"
Now, this sounds unusual because it reads like something you would see on Brazzers and not on the Steam Store, but the developer commented on the advancements in how games are viewed by today's society. “Seeing frank depictions of same-sex relationships welcomed on such a major gaming platform is a true testament to the open-mindedness of our society and the growing desire for mature entertainment that people of all walks of life can enjoy,”
Kindred Spirits on the Roof is about two Japanese girls, Enoki Sachi and Nagatani Megumi, who both passed away many years ago with unresolved feelings in their hearts. The two find each other as ghosts on the roof of a school and look to another student, Yuna, to help them. The two girls wish to explore their love for each other but they don't know how as they passed away prior to having the ability to experience sex.
No release date was announced yet, but a 2016 window for Steam has been tentatively scheduled by the developer.
