King Oddball coming to PS4 next month

King Oddball, formerly a PlayStation Vita title, will be coming to the PS4 on April 1, 10tons announced today. The skill-based physics puzzle game sees you play as King Oddball, a floating rock head with a long tongue, set on destroying the world.

Similar to that of Angry Birds, King Oddball is about clearing the level of enemies by squashing them with rocks and other objects. It starts off fairly easy, with you picking up a rock with King Oddball's tongue and having him swing it back and forth like a pendulum. At the precise moment, you press X and he'll hurl it towards the objects.

"After the first few levels, you’ll need to crush more enemies than you have rocks for. That, in turn, requires careful strategy and anticipation of how the chain reactions will unfold. We’ve tuned the physics model to pretty extreme accuracy, so relying solely on luck won’t work," said 10tons PR coordinator Jaakko Maaniemi.

King Oddball will have a free trial so you'll be able to check it out for yourself on release day.
