When it comes to the Kingdom Hearts games, the more we get – the more we want. Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5 released last year and 2.5 Remix releases today, both on the PlayStation 3 — but what about the PlayStation 4?
The co-director of Kingdom Hearts HD 2.5 Remix and Kingdom Hearts 3, Tai Yasue, revealed that the PS4 isn't entirely off of the map and neither is the Xbox One.
Speaking with IGN Yasue revealed that Square Enix is willing to 'explore the possibility' of bringing 1.5 and 2.5 Remix to the PS4, but he doesn't want to make any official announcement or statement on the case. When questioned on whether the Xbox One would be seeing 1.5 or 2.5 Remix he was more or less mum on the subject, but did add:
"There’s a lot of things we need to think of when we consider consoles. One of them is what our players want, so we will definitely consider that. But there’s also schedule constraints, as we really don’t want the development of Kingdom Hearts III going later, so we have that to think about. We’ll consider all these things and come to a decision."
It was revealed earlier that Kingdom Hearts 3 will be making its way to the PS4 and Xbox One, it would make sense to bring 1.5 and 2.5 Remix along with it…but if there is a risk of sacrificing the quality of Kingdom Hearts 3 – I say leave them behind!
All I can say to Square Enix is…So you're telling me there's a chance.
