Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5 ReMIX looks freaking amazing (graphically speaking)

Before I continue, I want it to be known that I am a big fan of the original Kingdom Hearts game, so you can imagine my excitement when it was announced at the Tokyo Game Show that it will be brought to the PlayStation 3 along with portable titles Chain of Memories and 358/2 Days.

Released ten years ago, Kingdom Hearts at the time looked impressive on PlayStation 2. Of course, having played it now, its age definitely shows. Or at least showed.

The Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5 ReMIX trailer has been released giving us a look at the new and improved HD graphics of all three titles, and damn do they look amazing. I've not yet played Chain of Memories or 358/2 Days, so I'm especially anxious to get my hands on those on the console. Although I hear 358/2 kind of strays from its Kingdom Hearts feel.

Although it has only been announced for a 2013 release in Japan so far, you can probably count on it eventually coming here in the U.S…or at least that's what I'm hoping. For now, I'll just have to tease myself with this trailer showing off what looks to be an impressive remake.
