Kit Harington confirms the Jon Snow theory we’ve all feared

Kit Harington, formerly known as Jon Snow in Game of Thrones, has been jumping from interview to interview recently, while promoting his stage role as Doctor Faustus. Of course, everyone that gets near Harington only wants to ask one question – regardless of what he's promoting.

Is Jon Snow really dead? Well, we did see him with a ton of holes in his body and staring blankly into the snowy sky… in a pool of his own blood at the end of season 5, but is he really dead?

"People didn't want me to die, but he's dead. So there you go, everyone has to get used to it," stated Harington in an interview with Digital Spy.

"I haven't done Thrones in a while. I had quite a lot of time off last year. I've been taking it easy. And relaxing. When I realised I was doing this, I had a few months to prepare for it, and something like this takes some working through before even getting into the rehearsal room."

In addition to this interview, Harington was questioned on Jon Snow's death during an interview with BBC Breakfast. "I think anyone who wants to know what happens in season 6 has to wait until it comes out," said Harington "All I can tell you is, Jon Snow is dead. He died at the end of the last season."

That's a fact – he is dead at the end of that season, but does his spirit live on?

"Who knows? We have to wait and see. It's going to be a very exciting season, so I've been lead to believe."

I don't believe him. Harington said that he was still under contract for the HBO series, so his recent statements sound like HBO told him to put a foot in his mouth and only confirm what we saw.

Jon Snow dead.

I'll be here waiting for Jon Snow to come back.
