Knack, the upcoming action-platformer and PlayStation 4 launch title, now has a free companion app that ties in to the main game.
Called Knack's Quest, the iOS app is a match-3 game that unlocks in-game rewards for players of the PS4 version. It's available today on the App Store for free. Players help Knack grow to his maximum size, which clears the stage, by matching or "collecting" three or more of the same parts.
Collecting Sunstones enables players to use Super Moves like "Thunder Chain" or "Blast," which act like different power-ups or in-game abilities. Knack's Quest features a Chapter and Endless mode.
Leveling up your profile will earn you augments for Knack's abilities in the PS4 game. The App Store description notes that the Item Send function will be available with the next software update — presumably when Knack launches on Nov. 15.
