Koimonogatari Blu-ray release day and pre order announced

As an absolute sucker for the Monogatari series, I take any and everything when it’s announced. Take the news about the fifth-act of Monogatari Second Season coming to Blu-ray, you best believe it caught my attention. This Koimonogatari collection is episodes 1-6 of “Hitagi End.” This arc involves Hitagi Senjōgahara forcing herself to work with her arch-nemesis the con-artist Deishu Kaiki to help save Koyomi Araragi. Since it’s done by Shaft, you can expect all the beauty that it entails; staying true to the art of the Monogatari series.

Aniplex is releasing the Koimonogatari Blue-ray on February 24th of 2015. Currently you can preorder for $59.98 – a sale price. While this is expensive for just 6 episodes it’s on par with other releases of the Monogatari mini-series. Usually the series only have 4 episodes and are priced at $50. Getting 2 extra episodes for a total of $10 seems like a steal by this way of thinking.
