Layers of Fear was described as a "psychedelic horror game" where you played as a painter who was looking to finish his Magnum Opus. As it turns out, your character had gone to….considerable lengths to get that done and suffice it to say, it wasn't nice. Enter Inheritance.
Layers of Fear: Inheritance is an expansion on the base game where you play as the painter's daughter who has returned to the mansion from the first game after years of being away to reconcile her past. Publisher, Aspyr Media released a launch trailer for the expansion today along with the announcement that they will be releasing Layers of Fear: Masterpiece Edition, a package containing both the base game and the Inheritance expansion.
