League of Extraordinary Gentlemen getting a reboot

Please don't be as bad as the 2003 version

Not content with simply rebooting the X-Files, Fox also plans on rebooting The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen — a film based on the 1999 comic book series. The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen is set in the Victorian-era and focuses on a collaboration of literary characters fighting against a common enemy.

The League is typically made up of character like Captain Nemo, the Invisible Man, Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde, it is essentially the Victorian-era Justice League.

In 2003 we saw a poorly received rendition of the film starring Sean Connery. The film was intended to become a film series, but only grossed $178 million in the box office, thus the franchise plans were cancelled. The new film will not be connected to the 2003 film and will be developed by Ira Napoliello (Mr. Poppers Penguins) and Matt Reilly, with John Davis (I, Robot, Predator) acting as Producer.
