If you play League of Legends Ranked Play then you are going to love this. Riot Games has launched the beta for Match History functionality. This means you can now go back and view your match history with tons of stats, graphs, and charts to help you better understand the outcome.
"In a game that emphasizes strategy and competition as much as League of Legends, information can be incredibly powerful. We've been itching to provide more data on how you play the game, and we’re ready to introduce the evolution of your match history," Riot said today.
"Our goal is to deliver robust, intricate details about your previous matches in an accessible, intuitive interface that allows you to share game histories with your friends. We’re making more of your games visible, not just your last 10. We’re expanding the end-of-game information, using graphs and heat maps to display dragon kills, gold-per-minute, death locations and more. And now you can share links to your match history across all of your favorite social channels."
Although Match History is still in an early beta state, it looks to be an incredibly powerful tool, especially for you competitive players out there. Not only does it provide an overview of your past matches, but it completely breaks them down with all sorts of graphics and charts. In its current form, there are five graphs available: Gold Advantage, the difference in cumulative gold between the two teams over the course of the game; Team Gold, the cumulative gold value for each team over the course of the game; Individual Gold, the cumulative gold for each individual champion over the course of the game; Champion Kills, the kill locations for each character in the game; and Building Destroyed, the final building states at the end of the game. Just these five graphs alone can reveal some pretty significant insight into your match history.
Remember, this is still beta so everything may not be final or necessarily working as intended. Riot notes that you should be able to see nearly all games played since May 1st. If you have any further questions about Match History, I suggest checking out the FAQ page that Riot has posted.
