Leaked screenshots for Resident Evil 7 appear to reveal a return to a familiar location

Resident Evil 7 looks like it's shaping up to be an excellent game, and the series needs it. After Resident Evil Giraffe….err 6…it was clear that Capcom needed to start over, and that's exactly what it looks like they have done. A few images of the game have leaked online, and all indications are pointing to a reveal of some kind in the next few days. Here are the pictures.

What's interesting here is that image #2 looks eerily similar to the mansion from the first game, and if Capcom is looking for little nuggets to get back into the fan's good graces, a re-imagining of a classic locale is a great way of doing that. Capcom is also hosting two separate presentations at Tokyo Game Show this weekend, so it stands to reason that another gameplay reveal, potentially using the PS4 Pro, is one of the things they are planning on doing.

Resident Evil 7 releases on January 24th, 2017 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
