Zombie fans eager to get their hands on the long-overdue Left 4 Dead 2 DLC, Cold Stream, will have to hold out for a while longer as developer Valve works out some final issues with Microsoft.
In response to a fan question regarding the DLC's official release date, which was slated for today, Valve stated the following:
"We are working with [Microsoft] on a release schedule. We don't have an ETA yet but we hope to have it out soon. It will be 560pts."
Later, Valve officially delayed the DLC for just a "few days":
"Cold Stream for Xbox is going to be delayed just a few days as we fix a few last min. pieces. We apologize for the inconvenience."
Cold Stream, which adds the original campaigns from Left 4 Dead – Death Toll, Dead Air, Blood Harvest, Crash Course – will also include a fan created map that's been highly anticipated by the hardcore Left 4 Dead community members. Though PC players get the maps for free, 560 MSP seems like a reasonable price point for five maps that are beloved by many, along with a map that'll hopefully rejuvenate gamers' love for the series.
