Third-party specialist PDP announced their GameCube-inspired Wii U-compatible controllers earlier this year, but the pretty little triad has only been officially unveiled today.
The Mario, Peach and Yoshi-themed controllers, while from an external manufacturer, have been sanctioned by Nintendo. Given Nintendo’s eagerness to get their GameCube controller adapter available for their newest system, it comes as no surprise that the company was willing to pass out production rights.
PDP’s controllers are slated for a November release, presumably to hop on the sales surge Wii U will invariably see following the release of the next Super Smash Bros. Nintendo has yet to price their adapter, but the controllers seen here will retail for $24.99.
