Live-action Pokemon movie might be close to landing a studio

Back in April we heard about a bidding war surrounding a "big-budget live-action" Pokemon movie. Apparently, The Pokemon Company has ben looking for the right studio to get the live-action adaptation going and everyone wants to get in on that money-maker.

At the time, Warner Bros. and Legendary Pictures were the two top dogs in this war. According to Deadline, Legendary might be close to sealing the deal with The Pokemon Company. No deal has been made yet and neither company is willing to comment on the potential deal.

The sudden push behind a live-action movie deal is probably coming from the success behind Pokemon GO, which has caused a jump in stock for Nintendo. With the world turning their needy eyes back to Pokemon, pushing a movie out could be a great investment… Unless, you know, it sucks.
