LocoCycle confirmed as Xbox One launch title

LocoCycle was first teased back at E3 2012, but developer Twisted Pixel (Ms. Splosion Manconfirmed today that it will be coming to the Xbox One as a launch title — one of the 15 planned for Microsoft's new console.

"We’ve always wanted to make a launch title for a new system but haven’t had the chance until now," Twisted Pixel's Jay Stuckwisch explained. "It’s a pretty cool feeling to know that there will be kids who open up their Xbox One and lose their minds with excitement then get blown away by the first few games they load up, including LocoCycle. We can’t wait!"

While the game will also be available on Xbox 360, the Xbox One version will "definitely take advantage of the big jump in horsepower by running in full 1080p at a solid 60 frames per second," the developer explained. Below is the official Xbox One trailer for LocoCycle.

As you can see from the trailer, LocoCycle appears to be a lighthearted title that focuses on a sentient motorcycle, I.R.I.S., which drags around its mechanic on high speed pursuits of enemies. GameZone will, of course, be on-hand at E3 for a preview of LocoCycle. Be sure to check back next week for our thoughts.
