Speaking at the Lollipop Chainsaw Summer Appreciation Festival event this Saturday, Kadokawa Games (that's the Japanese publisher) chief executive officer Yoshimi Yasuda said worldwide sales for the game had exceeded 700,000 units.
Goici Suda, or "Suda 51," said that Lollipop (see our review) is the greatest success of his company, Grasshopper Manufacture, in terms of sales.
Suda also showed a promotional trailer for his next project, Killer Is Dead, at the event. The game is meant as an assassin's story in the same vein as Killer7 and No More Heroes.
Killer Is Dead is scheduled for release in 2013, and it's coming to Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.
