Madden NFL 15 to deliver ‘most immersive defensive gameplay’ in franchise history

Prettier graphics isn't the only thing EA Sports is looking to improve upon with Madden NFL 15. One of the major focuses this year appears to be on the defensive side of the ball, or so the developer says.

"Madden NFL 15 delivers everything fans need to own their rivals on both sides of the field, including the most immersive defensive gameplay control in franchise history," EA said of this year's game. Likening it to last year's Super Bowl champion, the Seattle Seahawks, EA promises "you can win championships and bask in the glory of success by building a great defense fit to challenge the best offenses in the game."

I find it a welcomed, but odd decision for EA to increase the intelligence of the game's defense while the NFL pushes to make the sport a more offensive game. Nevertheless, defense in Madden has always had sort of this clunky, awkward feel to it, so hopefully these changes will allow for a more smooth gameplay experience.

In addition to a more immersive defense, Madden NFL 15 will look to offer an entirely new broadcast presentation with all-new camera angles, as well as dynamic pre-game and halftime features.

Madden NFL 15 will be available on August 26 for Xbox One, PS4, Xbox 360, and PS3.
