Madoka Magica, Fate, and Durarara table top sessions lead to new anime, Chaos Dragon

I’m going to be perfectly honest, what I’m talking about here is like my fantasy. A bunch of prominent authors, creators, and illustrators, all got together, played a role-playing tabletop game, and decided to create an anime, board game, and smartphone game out of their experiences and sessions. This is similar to how Tracy Hickman and Margaret Weis created the Dragonlance books out of their Dungeons and Dragons sessions. As a D&D and other tabletop player, this is a dream come true.

The participants in this gaming session were Gen Urobuchi (Puella Magi Madoka Magica), Kinoko Nasu (Fate/stay Night), Izuki Kōgyoku (Garden Lost), Ryohgo Narita (Durarar!!), Simadoriru (illustrator), and guided by Makoto Sanda (Rental Magica). Each player created a character to play over a six session campaign – which I can only assume will be the five characters featured in the middle of the promotional video playing above.

The story of the anime (Chaos Dragon: Sekiryū Sen'eki) occurs in the year 3105 in the small country of Nil Kamui. Here a guardian god Red Dragon has gone full on berserk:
