Malpractice medicine when Surgeon Simulator 2 launches in August

Creation Mode unveiled too

Indie developer Bossa Studios has announced that the follow-up to one of the funniest games of the past decade is launching next month, August 27th. Surgeon Simulator 2 will be available exclusively on the PC via Epic Games Store. Check out the new trailer!

When the first Surgeon Simulator came out way back in 2013, even before the launch of current-gen consoles, it quickly became a huge hit. Especially Youtube gaming channels and streamers heavily featured the wacky appropriation of what Angels in White are actually doing in the operating theater. It’s a jolly silly old time.

Now, again at the dawn of next-gen console releases, Bossa Studios is preparing to launch the sequel Surgeon Simulator 2. A lot has changed in this sequel with arguably the biggest one being a heavy focus on cooperative play. But hey, everything is more fun when you do it with friends, right?

Explore a world of limitless creativity with the Bossa Labs Creation Mode! Designed with every level of player in mind, with a selection of easy-to-use intuitive tools, create your own levels and experiences with up to three friends in real time co-op play, and share them online for the rest of the community to experience!

Today, we not only learn of the release date but get a closer look at another new large gameplay pillar of Surgeon Simulator 2. The Bossa Labs Creation Mode is a sandbox playground where players can not only decorate rooms but create entirely new games! An ambitious addition which is already looking to be a substantial upgrade over the first game that mainly relied on comedic physics and mechanics. The sequel looks a lot more fleshed-out in that regard.

Surgeon Simulator 2 is going to launch first on the PC next month. Eager gamers will be able to play it via the Epic Games Store with pre-orders already being live.
