Some people have simple hobbies like collecting stamps, other people have more intricate hobbies. YouTuber Allan Pan is one of these 'other people,' on his YouTube channel, Sufficiently Advanced, Pan makes "make pretend things into real things."
This time Pan tackled Thor's hammer, Mjölnir, using an electromagnet and a fingerprint scanner. Pan's magnet is so strong that once it's set down on a metal surface is can't be budged by anyone other than the chosen one – himself. Of course, having a working Mjölnir means pranking people – because why not?
The video below is filled with people bent over a hammer, attempting to pick it up – but ultimately failing (spoiler).
There's probably someone out there that could explain how certain objects can create a magnetic field and the laws of attraction, but why would we look any further into the Mjölnir than we need to?
To quote the most illustrious minds of our generation:
"F*cking magnets, how do they work?
And I don't wanna talk to a scientist
Y'all motherf*ckers lying, and getting me pissed"
