It's been reported that Nintendo won't be abandoning console developers in search of new developers for their mobile development. They intend on tackling their mobile game plans with the very same developers that they use for any other development.
An earnings call from Nintendo lead by company president Satoru Iwata, revealed that there were plans to develop five mobile games by March 2017.
As to what to expect from Nintendo's games is something else all-together. During the earnings call Iwata stated that Nintendo plans on "carefully selecting appropriate IP and titles for our smart device deployment." That means that we could be seeing some games from Nintendo's game cache.
According to the Japanese news site Sankei, the producer behind Mario Kart 7 and 8 will be heading Nintendo's mobile game development. No names have been confirmed or mentioned, but it has been suggested that Hideki Konno will be the man behind the wheel. He's been producing Mario Karts games since the DS, so we know we can trust him.
