Martin Freeman has already debuted in the Marvel Cinematic Universe as Everett Ross in Captain America: Civil War but he seems to be returning in Black Panther.
Freeman has been photographed on the set of Black Panther and his presence didn't seem to just be that of an adoring fan. This most likely means that Everett Ross will have something to do with the story of Black Panther. This news comes at the same time that we see a new logo for the movie.
Ross does have some pretty strong connections to T'Challa, the man behind the Black Panther mask. In the comics, he served as a diplomatic liaison to T'Challa. Perhaps this relationship will be featured in the 90s flashback, as relations between the two presently could be considered less than friendly. When we last left off, Everett Ross doesn't know where the Winter Soldier is, and would most likely be searching for him. As viewers should remember, Bucky is in Wakanda, the home country of the Black Panther.
