For a limited-time, players of Marvel: Avengers Alliance can earn Beta Ray Bill as a reward through a special Spec Op campaign.
In Spec Op 24, Asgard's most dangerous foes are on the warpath in Midgard. Thor has mysteriously disappeared, leaving a void amongst the Avengers that must to be filled. Many have asked, "Who is worthy of such a great challenge?" Beta Ray Bill has arrived to push back these ancient forces and help discover what end his Oath-Brother has met.
Beta Ray Bill first appeared in an issue of Thor. Created by writer-artist Walt Simonson, the character was initially intended to surprise readers as an apparent monster that would later prove to be a great hero. Interestingly, Bill was the first being outside of Marvel Universe's Norse pantheon to be deemed worthy enough to wield Thor's hammer, Mjolnir. Eventually, Bill was granted a hammer of his own, Stormbreaker.
And now, in Marvel: Avengers Alliance, Beta Ray Bill joins as a dual class Hero; being both a long-range Blaster with his lightning attacks and a Bruiser able to sustain massive amounts of damage. Check out his moves below:
- Stormbreaker – Melee attack that applies Crackle to an enemy and Covered to Bill.
- Thunderstruck – Shocking ranged attack that applies Cornered.
- I Say Thee Nay! – Catastrophic ranged attack applying Static Charge and Ozone.
- Ride the Lightning – Melee attack dealing extra damage for each electric buff.
