Marvel reveals Elodie Yung casting for Elektra in Daredevil Season 2

Sweet!

There have been plenty of rumors about the supporting cast in Season Two of the Netflix Original Series, Marvel's Daredevil, but one thing is for sure filming for the follow-up season has begun. We know that Season Two will feature The Walking Dead's Jon Bernthal as the Punisher (who will be at odds with Daredevil).

Marvel has revealed that the rumors around Elektra visiting Hell's Kitchen have been true. Elodie Young from G.I. Joe: Retaliation and District 13: Ultimatum is set to join the cast.

“After a worldwide search,  we found in Elodie the perfect actress to embody both Elektra’s impressive and deadly physicality, as well as her psychological complexity,” said Executive Producer and Head of Marvel Television, Jeph Loeb. “Paired with Charlie as Matt Murdock, the two will bring one of the most beloved and tumultuous comic book relationships to life with all the accompanying sparks and spectacular action sequences the show is known for.”

The first season of the had hinted at Elektra, Foggy had mentioned that Matt (Daredevil) had dated a 'Greek girl' and that the relationship had ended badly and in the comics, Elektra is daughter of a Greek diplomat.

Now all we need to do is wait and see if Jason Statham is going to play Bullseye.
