Mass Effect: Andromeda beta news confirmed for this month

After finally learning the release date for Mass Effect: Andromeda, it looks like we'll be getting multiplayer beta news as well later this month.

Ian Frazer, the game's lead designer, confirmed that news will be coming in a Twitter response to a fan yesterday. Unlike Mass Effect 3 which saw your multiplayer stats directly impact your readiness level for the campaign's final mission, Andromeda will take a different approach. While it will be tied to the game's single-player campaign, it will also be completely optional.

So far, we know that the game will utilize strike missions and have vault raids, with the online portion being a near seamless tradition from the campaign. HDR support has been confirmed along with no season pass as well. Perhaps in no big surprise, Xbox One and PC users will get to play first, as both EA and Origin Access have been confirmed. This will allow players to grab the game on March 16th, 5 days ahead of launch, and play for a max of 10 hours.

Mass Effect: Andromeda releases on March 21st on both Xbox One and PS4 as well as PC
