Meet ‘The Junkers’ — Overwatch’s deranged criminal duo

A pair of new characters known as "The Junkers" have been revealed for Blizzard's upcoming multiplayer shooter, Overwatch.

As detailed in the latest "A Moment in Crime Special Report," The Junkers are a duo of deranged characters — Jamison "Junkrat" Fawkes and Mako "Roadhog" Rutledge. Junkrat specializes in explosives, arson, and demolition, while Roadhog is described as a "violent, remorseless killer" and is seen wielding a grappling chain.

Together, The Junkers have "burned, bombed, robbed, and killed their way across the world."

This is the first time characters in Overwatch have been introduced as a pair. Whether or not this reveal has any significance on their gameplay, or whether this is just a fun way for Blizzard to reveal new characters, remains to be seen. Either way, it's fun to see Blizzard instill lore and personality in the characters of Overwatch.

Overwatch doesn't yet have a release date, but a beta is said to be coming this fall.
