In the latest weekly Famitsu we learned of a PoPoLoCrois and Harvest Moon crossover for the Nintendo 3DS.
That's not all that Famitsu had to offer though. There was also an interview with Pokkén Tournament developers; Pokémon Company CEO and president Tsunekazu Ishihara, Tekken chief producer Katsuhiro Harada, and Soulcalibur producer Masaaki Hoshino.
While we knew about certain features, it's nice to see it all in one place – straight from the key developers.
Mega Evolutions Confirmed
At around :54 seconds into the Pokkén Tournament reveal trailer we see Lucario change up his look, when asked about it Masaaki Hoshino confirmed that it wasn't a change in skin, but in fact a Mega Evolution. "Mega Evolutions are implemented in the game. I believe you might be able to tell just by watching the trailer, but when Lucario changes forms, that’s the Mega Evolution and that’s not all, we’re also adding things that would fit in well with this game’s characteristics."
How many Pokémon on the Pokkén Tournament roster?
The Soulcalibur produce Hoshino recognizes that "the general direction that current fighting games are trending towards having more characters," but there are over 700 Pokémon…how many can we expect to be playable in Pokkén? That answer will remain unanswered until the game is further developed – we'd like to hear your guesses.
Will TEKKEN characters be in it?
Short answer, no – Hoshino did say that there will be "hidden elements that could bring a smile to fans of the Tekken series."
Harada mentioned that a demo will be available in 2015.
