Michelle Williams in talks to join ‘Venom’

It looks like we might have our lead female role for Sony’s Venom film. Michelle Williams, who most recently appeared in Machester by the Sea (2016) and Oz the Great and Powerful (2013), will be starring opposite of Tom Hardy in Venom.

Her role in the film has not been officially revealed, but sources suggest that Williams will be playing a district attorney in the film and possibly Hardy’s love interest.

After getting hit with a delay, Venom is still on track to release at some point in 2018 with will star Tom Hardy as Eddie Brock. It’s been suggested that Riz Ahmed will be taking the role of Carnage wiin his MCU debut as the film’s antagonist.

Venom is set to hit theaters on Oct. 5, 2018. The film will not be part of the Spider-Man universe.
