Microsoft apologizes for cloud storage problem with free month of Xbox Live

Microsoft is apologizing to gamers for the recent trouble with its Cloud Saved Games feature by extending affected users a free month of Xbox Live Gold.

Larry Hryb, otherwise known as Major Nelson, posted an update today confirming that the feature is back online and that the "Xbox Operations team has been working around the clock to get the issues resolved."

Xbox Live general manager Alex Garden said that the process took longer than anticipated "as we needed to ensure the integrity of everyone’s game saves. Whether you couldn’t access your game saves for a couple of hours or a couple of days, we sincerely apologize for the delay and inconvenience."
