Windows 10 is drops later this month and, starting yesterday, game streaming was enabled for XB1 owners who also have a PC or tablet with the new OS. The new function allows for users to stream from their consoles and onto their Windows 10 enabled PC or tablet and comes with a bevy of updated features including cross-device multiplayer, edit and share game clips and a higher performance rate with Direct X 12.
These new abilities comes on the heels of the announcement that XB1 will begin allowing backwards compatibility for 360 games, effectively pulling the previous console into the expanded ecosystem. This all fits in pretty nicely with the knowledge that when the consumer model of Rift releases early next year, it will come packaged with a wireless XB1 controller and an adaptor compatible with Windows 10 and offers the ability to stream Xbox One game to the Rift headset.
