Day one of Microsoft's Build Developer Conference is coming to a close and while they announced some interesting news today, it wasn't without some disappointment.
Microsoft has been hard at work developing their new web browser codenamed Project Spartan. The browser will effectively take Internet Explorer's place as the Windows default browser. Turns out, though, that Project Spartan wasn't a good enough name for Microsoft to keep.
Project Spartan has officially been named Microsoft Edge, and it will be the default browser for Windows 10. If you choose to use Microsoft Edge over your previous browser, you will be able to import your Chrome extensions into Edge and hovering over a tab will show you a preview of the site's content.
The name Project Spartan would have been great in conjunction with Cortana, Microsoft's digital personal assistant (similar to Siri).
