Good news Resident Evil movie fans! Milla Jovovich provided an update on the production timeline — maybe by accident — when she made a post to Facebook about her pregnancy.
The sixth and final installment in the Resident Evil film franchise — with the working title of Resident Evil: The Final Chapter — was originally supposed to shoot in 2013, then 2014, and then Jovovich and husband/Resident Evil director-producer-writer Paul W.S. Anderson got pregnant. So from her Facebook post, here's a snippet about the film:
I'm really proud of myself for not gaining the same amount of weight that I did with our first child (75 lbs.) because I have to be ready to start filming "Resident Evil – The Final Chapter" in August of this year and I will also be nursing and infant simultaneously (get ready wardrobe department for Alice's new "easy mama access" costume;)) so I don't want to be on any extreme diets to get ready to go back to "action hero" mode!
IMDB has a release date listed of September 2, 2016 for Resident Evil: The Final Chapter, which seems right if production begins in August 2015.
