Minecraft has practically taken over the world at this point. Originally released on PC, Mojang's hit sandbox adventure game is now on Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3, with planned releases for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PS Vita. Notice something missing?
Perhaps not for long, as a new rumor suggests that a Wii U version of Minecraft is in the works. Nintendo Enthusiast claims its source — a "retailer — has confirmed that Minecraft's developer is in possession of Wii U dev kits. Of course, the Wii U GamePad is said to be a heavy focus — as it should be.
The rumor comes not long after Minecraft lead designer Jens Bergensten called a Wii U version "very unlikely."
